The SOuL project UPDATE
Thanks in large part to the W. K. Kellogg Foundation and the Battle Creek Community Foundation, the SOuL Project is finally taking off.
Beginning October 5 at Summit Pointe’s virtual learning center, the Calhoun County Juvenile Home and the Urban League of Battle Creek, Speak It Forward’s SOuL project will begin to change the lives of students, youth and their families. the program is designed to teach those at the fringes of our community to embrace their experiences and give them a powerful voice through the spoken word. It has already been changing lives and it’s only getting stronger each moment.
This is just one page out of the registration packet. It costs students, schools, organizations NOTHING to make this a part of their students’ lives and this is all thanks to many private funders, the Battle Creek Community Foundation and the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. Keep posted for future videos of our work with the community on the SOuL Project.
Hi, I graduated from high school at Kalamazoo Central 3 years ago…I just wanted to let you know that lately, whenever I need something empowering, I listen to your words. Since graduating I’ve moved to New York and I’ve been sharing your words and stories here and you’ve got many fans here now.
